The story: “Origins”, The Last Dream

Details from Rock Painting

This photograph is part of Heinz Plenge’s latest work, “Origins”. It is a project that aims to research the reasons why humans started to move from the African continent and inhabited the whole earth.

We are all looking for happiness, while the Amazonian Tupi-Guaraní natives spoke of “Land without Evil” instead. This is an idea – or rather a search – that may have prompted humankind to move around the earth. With this shot, Heinz Plenge therefore returns to the origins of man, to one of the oldest places in the world where mankind has demonstrated their humanity, while manifesting it through art.
